Women in Cyber Scholarship – closes 11 December 2020

CyberCX has opened applications for its Women in Cyber Scholarship to support female students who have an interest in a cyber security career or those looking to broaden their cyber security expertise.

CyberCX is committed to growing the number of women in the cyber security industry. By promoting the recruitment of women into Australia’s security industry, supporting women on their career journeys  and inspiring women to pursue a career in cyber security, CyberCX is helping build Australia’s growth of talented security professionals.

The scholarship will include a paid internship in the second half of the year to provide work experience and mentoring opportunities to help round out their knowledge with hands on experience.

Up to 12 scholarships will be awarded for the 2021 academic year. Each recipient will receive a $10,000 scholarship to assist the student with expenses, such as tuition, fees, study resources, which support them to achieve study and development goals.

Snezana Jankulovski, CyberCX’s Chief People Officer, “Women are underrepresented in many industries and that includes the technology and cyber sector. At CyberCX we are committed to mentoring and supporting women and building rewarding careers for women in cyber security.”

The CyberCX scholarship program will fast-track twelve talented women in order to improve the representation of women in security leadership roles in Australia.

Scholarship applications will open 1 November 2020 and close on 11 December 2020. The scholarship recipients will be announced in the week commencing 18 January 2021.
