LogRhythm has announced that Chillisoft has been appointed the company’s first Authorised Training Centre outside the United States.  Chillisoft can now train LogRhythm customers on LogRhythm’s platform across Australia and New Zealand.

The LogRhythm Training Services Authorised Program enables LogRhythm partners to provide training services while improving the classroom experience with continuity of service, tailored offerings instructor time zone alignment and other regional adjustments such as virtual or in-person training.

“Strategically, this certification gives the Chillisoft business in Australia and New Zealand massive benefits at the channel and end user level, and significantly increases our capacity and our capabilities to meet local demand for robust upskilling in cybersecurity skills,” said Alex Teh, Chillisoft CEO.  “We are thrilled that our expert knowledge and strong investment in LogRhythm have been recognised with this training accreditation.”

LogRhythm’s customer training programs provide extensive foundational product training for security administrators and analysts to build their knowledge and expertise.  As part of its certification, Chillisoft’s Certified LogRhythm Instructor underwent a stringent certification program that included LogRhythm’s Admin and Analyst Training, and Train the Trainer program.  Chillisoft is now authorised to provide training services in LogRhythm administration fundamentals, AI engine fundamentals and analyst fundamentals.

A recent international survey by Robert Half found that almost a third (32%) of CIOs and CTOs said IT cyber security skills have become the most difficult to find skill since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.  At the same time, Australia and New Zealand continue to suffer from a longstanding and well documented skills shortfall in the cyber-security sphere. Aust Cyber research suggests that Australia will be short 18,000 cyber-security experts by 2026.  Restrictions on international movement imposed to stop the spread of the COVID virus have exacerbated the problem in both countries.

Simon Howe, Vice President Sales Asia Pacific, LogRhythm, said, “The pressure on today’s security teams is immense, and we are fully committed to supporting them. We’ve spent the past year strengthening and expanding our training and certification program to enhance the ability of channel partners and resellers to be on the front foot when it comes to cybersecurity posture.  We now look forward to deepening our partnership with the recognised expert team at Chillisoft to ensure that our customers can be best upskilled and protected from current and future cybersecurity threats.”
