InfoTrust implements Keith Buckley as CEO

InfoTrust has announced co-founders Dane Meah and Simon McKay will be stepping into Board positions, and Keith Buckley will be the new CEO to run the day-to-day operations.

Buckley brings with him several decades of experience in the technology sector for companies including Dell, Symantec, McAfee, Riverbed and most recently Citrix, with a strong track record of taking established businesses to the next level.

InfoTrust was founded in 2014 in Sydney by Dane Meah and Simon McKay in response to an increasing need for organisations to remain protected from cybercrime. InfoTrust works with clients in Australia and New Zealand, providing consultation and security technologies to help them become secure and more productive. InfoTrust works with over 350 organisations, including Tier 1 banks, insurers, federal government and energy providers.

Over the past year, InfoTrust has seen strong growth in its core business, but has also found time to develop a new SaaS Security Platform called MyCISO. MyCISO helps organisations assess, improve and manage their security maturity program.

Meah comments, “We’re so proud of what we have achieved in the past seven years, it’s been really rewarding to see InfoTrust grow and support so many organisations to increase their security in the face of ever-changing  threats. We have had strong growth over the past 12 months despite COVID challenges, and we’re bringing in senior, high performing professionals in every position. Keith has been on the advisory board for a few years and brought tremendous value, so it feels like a natural step to hand over operations to him. The opportunity to bring in someone of Keith’s calibre doesn’t come along very often – we’re very excited to see Keith step into this role and take InfoTrust to new heights”.

Meanwhile, Dane Meah will be stepping in to take the helm at SaaS startup, MyCISO, whilst Simon McKay will continue to provide executive leadership across both organisations. Meah comments “There’s an enormous opportunity in Australia and around the world to make effective cybersecurity maturity accessible to all. We’ve got the platform to a point where dedicated leadership and focus is needed and I’m excited to be taking this role.”

Buckley comments, “InfoTrust is an exciting business that I’ve admired for a long time, I’m honoured that Dane and Simon have given me the opportunity to take InfoTrust to the next level. Cyber-attacks continue to disrupt business operations, hurting productivity, brand and bottom line, and it’s our mission at InfoTrust to assist our customers to remain safe and secure.”

InfoTrust has also appointed Troy Vanderplas as Business Services Manager, having built up significant experience working in operations over the past decade, including in the Armed Forces and within NSW Government. Meah comments, “Troy brings strong business acumen with a detailed analytical mindset, that will help us improve how we operate and deliver our customers a great experience”.
