CFC has extended its in-house cyber incident response team with the acquisition of Insane Technologies, an Australian cyber security and incident response provider. The deal is subject to approval by the Australian Foreign Investment Board.

CFC’s cyber claims and incident response team is one of the largest in the world and has handled over 2,000 cyber claims in the past year alone. With the addition of Insane Technologies, the company deepens its bench of highly skilled in-house technical experts and furthers its mission to offer 24×7, follow-the-sun cyber security and incident response services to its customers around the world.

“Like us, Insane have been handling cyber security incidents for over two decades and are one of the most experienced providers in the market,’ said Dave Walsh, CEO of CFC. “We’re excited to bring their team of deeply-skilled technical experts in-house to help strengthen our proposition for our cyber insurance customers.’

CFC previously acquired Texas-based incident response provider Solis Security in October 2019, and insurtech ThreatInformer in 2020.
