Triskele Labs Opens Perth Office

Australian cyber security company Triskele Labs has opened an office in Perth. The Perth team will be led by WA State Manager Steve Simpson and includes a digital forensics and incident response analyst, detection and threat hunting engineer, security operations centre analysts, a governance, risk and compliance consultant, and offensive consultants, as well as local commercial support.

Triskele Labs CEO and founder Nick Morgan said the time is right for the company to scale and grow in the Western Australian market. “The cybersecurity landscape in Perth has changed in recent years, with companies who previously had a local presence have scaled back after being swallowed up by national or multinational companies,” he said. “We see an opportunity to invest in Western Australia to ensure they have a dedicated strategic partner on the ground and one that delivers outstanding customer service to meet their needs.”

With the new office, Morgan said Triskele Labs now has more security operations centre analysts and greater capacity to detect and respond.
“Fewer alerts per analyst and more time to triage alerts means Triskele Labs’ experts can deliver an even higher quality customer experience,” he said. “With a Perth presence, the two- or three-hour time zone difference allows more coverage around critical times of the day, allowing teams downtime and rest.”

Focusing on delivering a cybersecurity service offering that could be tailored to meet the needs of businesses of any size, in just ten years the company has grown to a team of 97 experts becoming one of the leading Australian-owned firms in cybersecurity advisory, defensive, offensive and response services.

“With Australian companies spending more than AUD7 billion on cybersecurity technologies, Triskele Labs is focused heavily on being a strategic service partner and delivering outstanding customer experience to support businesses of any size,” Morgan said.

The new Perth team expands the company’s monitoring and response capacity, and Morgan said establishing an office in Perth was an important signal of Triskele’s capabilities in defending Western Australian businesses against cyber threats.

“It’s not just one person from a Melbourne company that we’ve put out on their own, this is a full investment to better support businesses in Perth and Western Australia,” he said. “Triskele continues to hire locally, and it will be seeking local university graduates as it continues to grow its Perth office.”
