Trend Micro Incorporated has completed its Information Security Manual PROTECTED level for the Trend Micro Vision One Platform, enabling Australian Government agencies with the PROTECTED level requirement to now use the platform.

The assessment was conducted by an independent third party under the Australian Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) and is the latest in a series of global assessments, including US Government FEDRAMP, SOCI2, and NIST.

“With this successful completion of the IRAP assessment at PROTECTED level, we are proud to be able to extend our expertise and solutions further, to support the ongoing protection of the Australian public Sector and critical infrastructure providers,” said Trend Micro’s Srujan Talakokkula.

“Today, we are seeing many Australian government agencies not only turn to a ‘cloud-first strategy’ but also embrace AI capabilities and a comprehensive end-to-end cybersecurity strategy. The Trend Micro Vision One Platform provides this and critical senior intel such as Cybersecurity Risk score, allowing real-time awareness of the environment’s risk and security posture.”

Trend Micro says its Vision One Platform offers critical-level cybersecurity, encompassing robust attack surface risk management, cross-layer protection across hybrid environments, and next-generation XDR, amplified by powerful generative AI technology.

This visibility and insights into events this capability provides results in more proactive defence, culminating in earlier detection and faster incident response, backed by capabilities including Global Threat Intelligence and Expert Managed Services.

“This is a huge opportunity for our customers as we take them on their cloud journey from on-premise, to public, sovereign and even protected cloud environments,” said Trend Micro’s Federal Government Strategic Lead, Martyn Beal. “We’re excited to see the possibilities this brings as we further contribute to building a safe and secure Australian Government.”
