Tesserent Snares Former EY, Microsoft and Virgin Leads

Tesserent has announced that Silas Barnes has been appointed Senior Partner Offensive Security Services, Kelly Taylor assumes the role of Director of Partners and Alliance and E-Yang Tang takes responsibility as Senior Partner for Security Architecture, Engineering, Analytics and Alliances.

Silas has undertaken several high-profile cyber leadership roles during his career including Group Chief Information Security Officer at Virgin Australia and Airservices Australia and General Manager Cyber at UnitingCare Queensland. Prior to this he held senior operational security roles with IBM’s Global Security Operations Centre, Symantec Security Operations and the Australian Department of Defence.

Kelly joins Tesserent having spent more than 15 years in the cyber security industry. Her recent positions include as Microsoft’s Director of Security Services, Head of Growth, Digital ID Australia Post and Country Manager, Thales eSecurity ANZ. Before this she was Enterprise Senior Account Director with RSA and a Business Solutions Consultant with Cybertrust/Verizon. Kelly was previously a board member at AISA, on the Victorian Government Cyber Executive Advisory panel and is an active advisor and mentor with the Australian Women in Security network and Cyrise cyber security startup accelerator.

E-Yang brings significant experience to Tesserent as the former CTO and Vice President at CGI and Director of Advisory Cybersecurity at EY. Before this he held senior leadership roles with Verizon Enterprise Solution and RSA. E-Yang has also been a Lecturer at Monash University and a Police Officer in the Singapore Police Force.
