Cyber security and digital resilience company Sekuro has appointed Scott Waters as its first federal government security advisor.

As part of a strategic push by Sekuro to address rising cyber threats against the public sector, Waters will spearhead efforts to enhance resilience within federal agencies, with a particular focus on Australia’s critical infrastructure.

Waters has over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership, security operations management, consulting and auditing across federal government agencies and programs. For the last 10 years, he has been the Chief Security Officer over two significant Federal government outsourced ICT programs with Ledios and Hewlett-Packard – the former was the largest outsourced environment of its time.

Sekuro’s practice areas include strategy and architecture, governance, risk and compliance, technology and platforms, offensive security, role-based consulting, and managed security services.
