SailPoint completes IRAP Assessment

SailPoint Technologies says it has successfully completed the Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment for SailPoint Identity Security Cloud which leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies to automate complex identity security processes, therefore reducing business cost and risk while improving productivity.

The IRAP assessment, firmly based on the stringent controls identified in the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) and Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), is an indispensable prerequisite for government departments seeking to adopt platforms and tools from service providers.

A certified third-party IRAP assessor conducted a rigorous examination of the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, affirming full compliance with IRAP’s PROTECTED level control requirements, which indicates the product meets the highest standard of cybersecurity and information security.

With this milestone, Australian government agencies can confidently leverage SailPoint Identity Security Cloud to automate the discovery, management, and control user access to sensitive data, applications, and systems, and easily verify if user access is authorised, secure, and compliant. With full visibility into identities and access rights across their entire IT ecosystem, organisations can spot unusual accesses and automatically perform remediation actions to prevent unauthorised access and breaches in real time.

As the only cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS-architected platform in the marketplace, SailPoint’s commitment is to offer an intelligent, autonomous, and integrated approach to identity security, enabling organisations to improve operational efficiency, meet evolving demands and effectively secure their cloud environments.

By implementing SailPoint’s autonomous identity security solutions in their operations, Australian government agencies can ensure stronger security controls for the organisation and that they are meeting regulatory and compliance standards, as SailPoint Identity Security Cloud includes support for the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s (ACSC) Essential Eight strategies and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

“Given the rise in cyber threats against government networks and critical infrastructure sectors, a modern identity security strategy is crucial to protect classified data. SailPoint’s autonomous identity security solution is the foundation for digital modernisation, effectively managing digital identities and defending against security threats. The IRAP assessment reinforces SailPoint’s expert ability to enable government agencies to manage identity security across cloud environments, protect critical infrastructure, and meet stringent regulatory compliance requirements. We look forward to continuing to empower more government organisations with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, serving as a long-term trusted partner to enhance their identity security posture,” said Chern-Yue Boey, Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific, SailPoint.
