Telstra has appointed John Ieraci as its new Head of Telstra Purple, Telstra’s technology services business.

The promotion follows the appointment of his predecessor, Oliver Camplin-Warner, to Group Executive of Telstra Enterprise last month.

In his 17 years working in Telstra’s enterprise business, John has held multiple leadership roles, most recently as Group Owner of Defence & Public Sector, leading Telstra’s successful government sales team.

Prior to this, John held several leadership roles in the Services business that became Telstra Purple.

Before Telstra he held several global roles leading growth portfolios and business development in the telco sector.

Mr Camplin-Warner said that John is the perfect fit to lead Telstra Purple, with a depth of experience partnering with Australia’s largest businesses and public sector, deep technical background and passion for emerging technology – and an absolute obsession to drive the best customer outcomes.

“I have never met anyone who is so focused on real customer outcomes as John. He’s someone that works in close partnership to solve problems through technology solutions and finds opportunities that make a real difference for our customers,” Mr Camplin-Warner said. “It’s this, combined with his focus on nurturing our people, the potential of future tech and building strong relationships with partners, that makes me so excited to see John step into this role. With John’s passion for our Telstra Purple business, I believe we can continue to build on the impact we have with Australia’s biggest industries and government partners.”

John said he is passionate about the opportunities ahead for Telstra Purple and is thrilled by the opportunity to lead the business.

“This role is particularly exciting to me as I’ve been involved with Telstra Purple since the beginning, playing a role in developing our technology services strategy and worked on our very first services acquisitions. This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference for Australian industries and government, backed by a team of exceptional talent and partners,” Mr Ieraci said.

Mr Ieraci’s appointment is effective immediately.
