Micro Focus has announced that Envirosuite Limited is deploying Micro Focus Service Management Automation X (SMAX).

Following an extensive search and tender process, Envirosuite chose Micro Focus SMAX, which will be a software as a service (SaaS) deployment via the Micro Focus SMAX SaaS instance hosted in Sydney. The solution will be implemented by Micro Focus Gold partner, EoraTech. Micro Focus SMAX uses machine learning and analytics to deliver IT service management, IT asset management, and enterprise service management with a consumer-like experience.

Patrick Quin, Manager – Operational Excellence, Envirosuite, said, “We’re focused on delivering exceptional customer service, so it is important for Envirosuite to invest in technology to enable this. During the demonstrations, Envirosuite saw how the SMAX virtual agent would seamlessly provide knowledge articles to help customers self-serve. The customer portal looked great and the team could immediately imagine Envirosuite’s customers using it. Micro Focus SMAX did everything we needed it to do so the choice was easy.”

Vinni Appugol, Managing Director, EoraTech, said, “Envirosuite needed to transition from a legacy platform to a new solution to manage and control growth, report well, and improve customer experience and backend operations. Micro Focus SMAX addressed these challenges and provided a self-service option for customers as well as field service teams managing its customer sites. Envirosuite will be able to grow and scale at speed by reducing the amount of time spent dealing with simple customer queries and automating field support operations. Its staff can focus on quality of support and enriching customer experience.”

Tim Doidge, Director Northern Region, Micro Focus Australia and New Zealand, said, “Implementing Micro Focus SMAX is a strategic initiative for Envirosuite as it prepares for significant global growth. Businesses are becoming more aware of their environmental responsibilities as well as the potential to use data in a smarter way to power their operations. As Envirosuite gears up for this growth, having a reliable and robust way to ensure that its sensors and other technology are always up and running is essential.”

Patrick Quin said, “Having a mix of named and concurrent licences means Envirosuite can provision everyone who needs access to Micro Focus SMAX as and when they need it. This is important to Envirosuite’s growth plans because it helps keep costs under control even as the business grows. This made the concurrent licensing arrangement very powerful for Envirosuite and another key reason why we chose the Micro Focus SMAX SaaS solution.

“Overall, working with Micro Focus and EoraTech was a great cultural fit and it was clear that both organisations were invested in Envirosuite’s success. As Envirosuite continues to grow and build relationships with major organisations across industries such as water and mining, it’s important to be able to demonstrate reliability and a superior customer experience. Micro Focus SMAX has positioned us to rise to this challenge with confidence.”
