KordaMentha has announced the appointment of Tony Vizza as Executive Director in the firm’s Cybersecurity practice.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the information technology and security industry, Mr Vizza’s expertise is both deep and diverse, ranging across leadership and management, strategy, advocacy and incident response for organisations across the government and private sectors.
Mr Vizza joins KordaMentha from (ISC)², where he was Director of Advocacy. He has also worked in Director and Management roles at Sententia, Westcon and D-Link Australia.
KordaMentha’s head of corporate advisory Chris Martin, said Mr Vizza’s appointment augments the firm’s position as a leader in cybersecurity advisory.
“Demand for cyber services is growing as security threats evolve in sophistication. Security awareness, resilience and ongoing risk management are critical to organisational decision-making,” said Mr Martin.
“Tony is an expert and experienced cyber security, privacy and information technology executive, with well-honed skills in strategy development, implementation and information risk management. He’ll help clients stay ahead of security threats and we welcome him to our team.”
Mr Vizza holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Information Technology from the University of Technology Sydney. He also holds several industry recognised IT & Cybersecurity certifications and is currently completing a Juris Doctor at the University of New South Wales.
Mr Vizza is on the Board of Directors of the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) and will be based in KordaMentha’s Sydney office.
