One of Australia’s leading cybersecurity consultancies, Hivint has announced that Singapore Telecommunications Limited via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Optus Cyber Security Pty Limited, has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Hivint Pty Limited.
In an email released this morning, Hivint Director and ‘Chief Apiarist’ Craig Searle stated “Singtel’s vision is to be a global leader in cyber security services and has been investing heavily in that business over the last few years, including the acquisition of Trustwave in 2015. Hivint is Australia’s fastest growing cyber security advisory business, and Optus is currently our single largest customer with the relationship between the two companies developing rapidly over the 18 months. In Hivint, Optus saw a strong leadership team, a great market presence, and a team of great consultants who genuinely have ‘trusted adviser’ status with their customers.”
