ExtraHop has appointed Simon Howe as Area Vice President for Australia and New Zealand.

On the heels of the company  securing $100M in growth capital in  January 2024, ExtraHop is planning for significant international expansion with a strong focus on Asia Pacific.

Based in Sydney, Howe will be responsible for further charting the company’s ANZ presence and sales growth in the enterprise security market.

He will also lead the region’s partner strategy, addressing a growing market need for network visibility solutions that help organisations better manage their cyber risk.

Howe comes to ExtraHop with more than 20 years of experience. Most recently serving as Regional Director for Asia Pacific and Japan at AttackIQ, he led the go-to-market strategy for the region and expanded the enterprise customer and partner portfolio.

Prior to AttackIQ, he was at LogRhythm and played an instrumental role in growing the company’s roster of large enterprise and public sector customers during his eight-year tenure. Howe also held sales positions at Symantec, and Acronis, where he developed and leveraged strategic channel relationships for market growth and propelled sales accelerations.

“Simon understands the unique risk, compliance, and cybersecurity challenges ANZ customers face, and he knows what it takes to execute successful customer engagement in a key region of growth for ExtraHop,” said Ken Chen, Vice President, Asia Pacific & Japan, ExtraHop. “Amid an ever-expanding threat landscape, he will play an important role in further establishing ExtraHop as a trusted cybersecurity partner, empowering ANZ organisations with stronger network visibility that will elevate their operational resilience.”

Commenting on his appointment, Simon Howe said, “ExtraHop is at a pivotal moment in its growth trajectory. The company is poised for success, having experienced tremendous momentum partnering with key technology partners like CrowdStrike and Netskope, expanding its channel strategy with managed services and leading distributors, and continuously iterating on its innovative AI technology. Despite ANZ enterprises facing a sharp increase in cyber threats, I’m confident that together we can better manage their risk for brighter business outcomes.”
