Australia’s only venture accelerator for cyber security startups, CyRise, is open for applications from potential founders looking to build globally-focussed cyber security companies. But interested
founders will have to be quick as applications for their second cohort close on September 16.
Successful applicants receive $50,000, a funded overseas trip, six months free co-working, access to world-class mentors, educational workshops, as well as connections to early customers and investors.
Founders from the accelerator program’s first cohort include Vaughan Shanks from CYDARM and Omaru Maruatona from AiCULUS. The program supports founders through access to early customers and connections to investors, as well as structured mentorship from industry leaders.
“Even with my background and extensive industry connections, there was still an enormous benefit to taking my company through the accelerator program”, says Vaughan Shanks.
“CyRise made sure I focused on validating that there is a problem to be solved. This ensures that a startup does not waste time building something that nobody will value.”
Founders with a product idea or an existing startup in cyber security are ideal candidates for the accelerator program. Applications are open until September 16 via cyrise.co.
“CyRise is here to help you go faster and further in the cyber security arena than you could possibly hope to go on your own”, Scott Handsaker, CyRise CEO.
