Bitdefender has unveiled a new product for collecting and analysing cybersecurity data, launching its GravityZone Security Data Lake and companion Data Lake for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solutions. The tools are designed to unify security telemetry across multiple sources — from endpoints and networks to cloud environments — to help organisations detect threats faster and reduce operational complexity.
The GravityZone Security Data Lake integrates directly into Bitdefender’s existing GravityZone suite, which combines endpoint protection, detection and response (EPP, EDR, XDR), and cloud-native security. The company says the new data lake applies “intelligent tiering” — a method of classifying and storing data based on importance and access frequency — to maintain full search and visibility without the high costs typically associated with large-scale data storage.
Key features include the ability to consolidate logs from various systems into one platform, allowing security teams to correlate activity and spot anomalies that might be missed by standalone tools. The product also offers built-in compliance and reporting functions, including automated log management, flexible data retention, and audit-ready archiving, designed to reduce the burden on IT teams while meeting regulatory requirements.
Andrei Florescu (pictured), president and general manager of Bitdefender’s Business Solutions Group, said the company’s goal is to make it easier for security teams to interpret and act on data drawn from multiple tools. “As the attack surface grows, organisations struggle to identify and correlate threats across a rising number of tools and data sources,” he said. “GravityZone Security Data Lake streamlines how telemetry is collected, analysed, and stored to deliver meaningful intelligence more efficiently.”
The release of GravityZone Security Data Lake marks Bitdefender’s latest effort to position itself among the leading cybersecurity providers offering integrated, analytics-driven platforms — an area increasingly sought after as businesses contend with expanding digital environments and more complex threat landscapes.
