ASI Solutions acquires Insicon Cyber to expand managed security in Australia and New Zealand

ASI Solutions has acquired Insicon Cyber, an Australian-owned cyber security specialist with a localised sovereign security operations centre (SOC) in North Sydney.

ASI said the acquisition would add Insicon Cyber’s board advisory, managed security and compliance services to its customer base across Australia and New Zealand, including organisations in education, government and the commercial sector.

The deal comes as more organisations turn to external providers for security operations, amid ongoing workforce constraints and rising cybercrime impacts. The Australian Signals Directorate’s Annual Cyber Threat Report 2025-26 reported the average self-reported cost of cybercrime for medium-sized Australian businesses rose 45% to $141,300 per report.

“Many organisations already trust a technology partner to keep their critical systems running, and security belongs in that relationship,” said Nathan Lowe, Managing Director, ASI Solutions. “Insicon Cyber gives us an Australian-owned specialist team and a SOC to bring to the organisations we support. If you are not sure where your organisation stands on cyber risk today, that is the conversation to start with us.”

Insicon Cyber’s services span board and executive advisory; 24/7 SOC and managed security, including managed SIEM; and compliance and certification support across standards including ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 42001, alongside ASD, APRA and NZISM requirements.

Founded in 2013, Insicon Cyber has advised Australian boards and executives for more than a decade. ASI said Insicon Cyber’s SOC is ISO 27001 certified and that the company is an Australian Signals Directorate Network Partner. It was also named Retail Cyber Security Partner of the Year at the 2025 Benchmark Security Awards.

“Few Australian-owned security specialists bring board advice, a localised SOC and compliance together under one roof,” said Matt Miller, CEO, Insicon Cyber. “Joining ASI keeps that capability in Australian hands and gives us the reach to help far more organisations across Australia and New Zealand, under the Insicon Cyber name we have built.”

Insicon Cyber will continue to operate under its own name as an ASI Solutions company, led by co-founders Matt Miller (CEO) and Greg Bunt (CISO). ASI said the acquisition follows its purchase of JTC Technology earlier this year, its sixth acquisition.
