Fujitsu has appointed Kendy Hau (pictured) as its new Head of Defence for Oceania, bringing more than 20 years of experience across Defence, national security and complex technology environments. Hau joins Fujitsu after a career that has included operational deployments in the Middle East, oversight of major Defence portfolios and senior roles supporting the modernisation of mission-critical systems.
Fujitsu Oceania CEO Peter Grassi said Hau’s operational experience and understanding of Defence needs will support the company’s work across more than 100 Defence sites in Australia. He said Fujitsu delivers a range of sovereign and mission-critical capabilities, including AI, quantum technologies and cybersecurity services aimed at strengthening national security and enhancing the Australian Defence Force’s operational edge.
Grassi said Hau’s background provides “a mission-focused perspective” that will help align industry support with Defence requirements as the organisation pursues more adaptive and resilient capabilities.
In a statement, Hau said her work has long centred on supporting the safety and effectiveness of Defence personnel and that her focus at Fujitsu will be on co-creating sovereign capabilities with Defence and industry partners. She said the goal is to ensure Australian forces have access to advanced, reliable technologies that provide a decisive operational advantage.
