Cybersecurity company Fortinet has opened its new, company-owned Australian headquarters in North Sydney. The facility is also Fortinet’s first innovation hub in the Asia-Pacific region.
Fortinet says its new Australian headquarters underscores the its strategic commitment to the Australian market, where business has tripled over the past five years. The AUD75 million facility joins Fortinet’s recent property investments in the US, Canada, and Spain.
The headquarters will host over 200 employees, with capacity to support workforce expansion as the company continues to grow its local footprint.
“Fortinet’s investment in Australia underscores its commitment to advancing cybersecurity resilience across the region,” says Fortinet Regional Sales VP Vishak Raman. “With the launch of Fortinet’s first Innovation Hub in the Asia-Pacific region, the company is not only strengthening local capabilities but also enabling enterprises, governments, and Australia’s critical infrastructure operators to drive digital resilience, accelerate innovation, and build a cyber-ready workforce.”
Key features of the innovation hub include features a high-tech data centre offering in-region sovereign hosting services, secure access service edge (SASE) capabilities, and Level 3 security data classification; a second on-site data centre housing a technical assistance centre to provide testing, simulations, and troubleshooting for customers; and best practice standards in sustainable design and construction.
In line with Fortinet’s commitment to addressing the global cybersecurity skills gap, its new Australian headquarters also improves local training and workforce development efforts significantly by offering expanded training facilities, partnerships with local academic institutions, and workforce upskilling initiatives.
