NIST’s newly released SP 800-71 Recommendations for Key Establishment Using Symmetric Block Ciphers addresses the protection of symmetric keying material using symmetric cryptography for key distribution. Comments are requested by September 28, 2018, and should be submitted to SP_800-71@nist.gov, with “Comments on Draft SP 800-71” in the subject line.
