IT company Pure Storage has appointed Altay Ayyuce as area vice president of Australia and New Zealand. He replaces Amy Rushall who will return to the US as area vice president, strategy and development, Americas region for Pure Storage after over two years in Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to Nathan Hall, vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific & Japan, Ayyuce brings almost 30 years of leadership excellence in the Australia and New Zealand IT and telecommunications sectors. He has been with Pure Storage for five years and has been instrumental in helping many organisations overcome their business challenges.

Recent research commissioned by Pure Storage indicated that over 80% of CIOs and IT leaders in Australia were concerned that their existing IT infrastructure would not keep up with AI advancements. Organisations here need a modern data storage platform that is secure, scalable, flexible, and optimised to unlock the full potential of their data.

Ayyuce’s extensive technology experience, knowledge of the ANZ market and track record of helping his customers transform technology into business outcomes will be a tremendous advantage as they navigate fast-changing trends in AI, hybrid cloud and cyber resiliency.

Companies such as AUCloud, Cumulus VFX, St George’s Hospital, Toyota Financial Services, and the University of Western Australia have leveraged Pure Storage’s technology to optimise their data.

“Australia and New Zealand have always been one of our most important markets in the Asia Pacific region and we are delighted that Altay has accepted the challenge to lead our business here,” said Hall. “He has been a consistently outstanding leader for Pure Storage over the past five years with an unwavering focus on customer success, and I am confident he can take us to even greater heights.”
