Orro has announced three senior appointments to lead its cloud services, networking services and cyber security business pillars.
Jonathan Plaskow has been appointed Director, Cloud Services, overseeing Orro’s newly created Cloud Services Group. After a successful career in professional services, and business integration, merger and acquisitions, and most recently as Chief Operations Officer of cloud solutions provider, TAS, Jonathan will navigate Orro’s digital transformation journey.
Matthew Counsell has been appointed Director, Network Services, responsible for Orro’s networking offering. Matthew is a proven leader, with experience in large delivery programs and PMO in IT and telecommunications industries. In previous roles leading teams in complex organisations, including Alcatel-Lucent and most recently Unisys, Matthew was in charge of service and customer delivery, as well as network engineering. In his role, Matthew will develop and deliver significant networking solutions.
Following the recent acquisition of managed security services company, e-Secure (September 2021), Manuel Salazar has been appointed Director, Cybersecurity, overseeing Orro’s cyber protection offering. Manuel has been with e-Secure for 22 years, most recently as General Manager Operations, and has deep expertise in helping organisations with managed detection and response (CSOC services), assurance testing, security incident response and threat and vulnerability management services.
The appointments follows the launch of the new Orro brand in July 2021, bringing together four leading Australian technology companies into its business: networking leader Comscentre, IT services company CustomTec, managed IT services business Correct Solutions and open-source pioneers Mach Technology Group, and most recently e-Secure.
Commenting on the appointments, Orro Chief Executive Officer, Rodd Cunico, says:
“Orro was created after the successful integration of four different companies – and most recently e-Secure. Setting up three distinct service offerings across Cloud, Networking and Cybersecurity marks another step in the successful integration of these companies. We are excited to have three highly experienced leaders heading up these strategic business pillars, with our customers now benefitting from a fully integrated offering as they embark on their transformation journey, whether it be in cloud, networking, cybersecurity – or all three.”
Commenting on his appointment, Jonathan Plasklow, Director, Cloud Services Group, says:
“At the heart, Orro provides customers a true digital offering across cloud, networking and cybersecurity. I am looking forward to working with our customers as they embark on their journey to the cloud, with a focus on automation, not only from an IT perspective, but across different areas of their organisation, such as HR and finance.”
Commenting on his appointment, Matthew Counsell, Director, Network Services, says:
“I am thrilled to be joining Orro, an innovative Australian company on a significant growth trajectory. Orro has found a sweet spot in the market, providing leading networking solutions to mid to large enterprises, with a focus on local execution.”
Commenting on his appointment, Manuel Salazar, Director, Cybersecurity, says:
“The security paradigm has changed as organisations prepare for a post pandemic world where people are able to work from anywhere. Not only has Orro brought together complimentary businesses from a service offering perspective, but also culturally – and I am excited to collaborate with the team on a market-leading offering that will better serve our customers.”
