The acquisition of Hivint Pty Limited by Optus Cyber Security Pty Limited was completed on 28th December 2018 and is now wholly owned by Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Optus Cyber Security Pty Limited.
On 12th October 2018, Hivint announced it had entered into a conditional agreement to be acquired.
In an announcement on the 17th of January, Craig Searle stated, “We are excited to be part of Singtel’s global cyber security business, Trustwave. It is one of the industry’s most comprehensive global cyber security companies offering a complete range of managed security services, consulting, education and leading-edge technologies to help organisations worldwide contend with the evolving threats we all face. It’s a genuinely compelling vision and a great opportunity for the Hivint team on many levels, and indeed for our clients also.
At a practical level, current contracts and agreements are unchanged. Likewise, our team and the services we provide are unchanged.
For now, it’s business as usual and we look forward to continuing to support you.”
